We welcome any inquiries into the financial health and stewardship of our organization. To request a copy of our audit and/or 990, please contact our Executive Director.
It takes all of us in the community to ensure that people are sheltered and fed. At Corner Haven Crisis Center, we work with individuals, civic groups, businesses, and churches to operate the shelter and food pantry. For more information, contact Jennifer Weeber or call 606-436-5043. Here are some ways you can help:
Organize your group to provide dinner at Corner Haven. This can be a one time event or recurring on a certain day of each month. We serve both residents and people in the community who are food insecure and come to pick up a to-go meal.
Food and Supply Donations and Drives
We have recurring needs for nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies, and paper goods used in the course of the day. Donations of food and supplies are especially welcome during the spring and summer months.
In Kind Donations
We use linens, household items, furniture, and clothing to operate the shelter, meet the basic needs of our residents, assist our residents moving into their own housing, and assist people in the community with meeting basic needs. Due to limited storage and processing space, we only accept up to 5 bags/boxes of non-food items in a single donation. As our needs change based on supply and demand, please contact Corner Haven for more information specific to what is needed at the time of donation.
We accept short- and long-term volunteers in all of our programs based on program needs. We also take observation and practicum placements for both human services and early childhood students. For more information, contact us at email@example.com.
We seek self-motivated individuals with experience and education in the human services, social work, early childhood, and elementary education fields. For inquiries regarding employment, complete this application (PDF) and send to our Executive Director.
